Low maintenance homes: a major requirement in buying property

A recent survey of 1,000 homebuyers conducted by CommBank shows that home buyers consider low maintenance cost as a major factor when purchasing property. 47% of those surveyed have purchased or intended to purchase property, with 65% of home owners purchasing a new investment.

While 86% of those surveyed said that they are willing to compromise on certain areas, the top four factors in their decision are size, price, location and low maintenance.
