Microsoft to run Office on the iPad

In an attempt for cross platform compatibility, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has laid out a plan to offer the Microsoft Office Suite for the iPad. This came after Apple released their own version of office applications specifically for their iPad, but Microsoft has downplayed the rivalry, citing their goal to make their applications accessible to users regardless of their operating system.

Microsoft Surface, the company’s tablet release has yet to perform considerably well compared to Apple’s iPad, which currently has the largest share in the tablet market.
